I just find this bit out, wow, a log time since you updated the thing. I suppose you guys are just busy with the mod and your lives. I didn't know what to call the thread lol, so yeh.

We need someone to form a PR department to keep this shit up to date.

I despair at most of the comments on the MoDDB site for our mod, people just can't read.

I would be happy to help out if you need it.

I wouldn't mind helping out in the PR department area, I'm also a good moderator. ;)

lol @ PR department. Afterwards we can get a mascot and a secretary. If there is not already a single individual on the team who can grab a few screenshots and write a 200-300 word blurb detailing the recent progress at least once a month, then the mod has a bigger problem --- one that can not be solved by filling a PR role.

The ModDB gets updated when we have a big media release, we havn't had a big one for a few months, hence no big update.

That should change relativly soon.

Edit:

Little extra tidbit, modDB is the 33rd most common referrer to our site with 8 people coming from there last month.

I will update it when we do the next news update.

Well thats good, it seems like there is a few more people on the site. At least its a little more active.

I updated the news on MoDDB. I doubt it will get on the front page however. Sorry we didn't get some screenshots in, partially my fault as I didn't get round to doing them before I went and saw my gf for a few days down South.

Might do a "interim" update or save them for next month.

Bleh,

I swear 50% of the comments on the MoDDb are "uh...why the name? it sucks!" and the other 50% are "oh god, not another ww2 mod"

I guess reading the site isn't an option for those people.

Well it is kinda of an odd name, but it does grow on you after a while lol. :)

If people realised where it came from it would not seem so odd, I guess some people might think it was a random name made up for the mod.

Any chance of telling us how you came up with the name Ham and Jam, I'm sure I got told but meh, you can tell again.

One of the first missions we decided to do for the mod was Operation Deadstick, the British gliderborne assault of the Orne and Caen canal bridges, more commonly known as “Pegasus Bridge”. During the real operation the Commander was issued with two code words to be radioed back to England to report the outcome. The capture of the Caen canal bridge (Pegasus) was codenamed “Ham” and the Orne canal bridge (Horsa) was codenamed “Jam”. When both bridges were captured the message was sent back to England - “Ham and Jam”.
