Well i'm back after a few months and i was wondering how the mod has been going. So what things have you guys done to make this mod cool and awesome and when can we expect some sort of public beta?

I would also like to ask if anyone here could teach me how to make balanced maps which are fun and unqiue.

Hopefully you guys can release the public beta soon and i hope that you guys are having fun making this mod.

Ham and Jam FTW!!

A public beta would be nice but I think we'll still have quite a wait for it ;)

I suppose i can wait, counter strike source and day of defeat source will keep me occupied for the time being.

That's what I'm doing, I don't particularly enjoy DODS or CSS but they cure my hunger for better games for the time being.

I can't play CSS or DoDS as they can both load up but when they get to the start menu, my montior goes black for a few seconds and i get the blue screen of death, i think i have to update the drivers for the my graphics card.

Most likely Steam will notify you if your drivers are old, but it might be worth updating them to the newest version anyway. And if you can't fun DODS or CSS I don't think you'll be able to run HaJ either ;)

Yeah, CSS and DODS are intensive as they are highly detailed. Our maps (at the moment ;) ) arn't to those standards but they are easily 2-4x the size and as such are equally as demanding.

CSS and DoDS all work now, i just updated my drivers for the graphics card. Whats weird is that CSS runs alot smoother than DoDS for some reason, i will probaly upgrade my computer soon with more ram and a better graphics card.

CSS was built on an earlier build of the Source engine and is less graphically intensive than DODS, I notice I get btter performance on CSS too.

...they cure my hunger for better games for the time being.Same here... but what's your most highly anticipated "better" game other than HaJ?

RnL and INS.

Yourself?

RnL and INS.a) You are speaking in uber hacker |33t speak. (not probable).
b) I'm not savvy on unreleased games. (very probable).

1)Probably ET:QW, though I really don't like aliens, even if they are
stroggs.
2)An exceedingly unlikely non-existent open-source game.

Insurgency looks awesome but you will need a decent computer to run it but i have not seen anything of Resistance and Liberation although i have heard of the mod.

Sorry for the double post but i have now upgraded my computer with some more ram buti need a better graphics card. Still i got an alright computer.

specs:

pent 4 3.06GHz
1.5GB ram
Geforce 6200LE 256mb
160GB hard drive
mouse and keyboard
17"Monitor

I'm planning on buying a Geforce 8800GTX 320MB but someone from the steam forums has told me that it would bottleneck with the processor.

No need to buy such an expensive card, you could get a card for a £100 that would cover your needs.
