4-5 BS'sOD in one month!
I cannot overclock my AMD sempron skt754 2600 above 1.85Ghz.
It isn't that it is slow. It is just that after I got my hands on clockgen, I can't keep them off it.
I have heard tell of my processor running at 2.6Ghz at Xbit labs.
My BIOS is great, loads of options, but they changed the names for all the fundamental parts, so I use clockgen.

You need a decent mobo to get anywhere, plus overclocking a Sempron is like adding a spoiler to your car, i.e. it doesn't actually do anything to improve it and infact may make it worse.

I think I may just have to leave it @ 1.85, I can live with it, for I notice the speed increase when making maps with L3DT
But it's nice to think of higher Ghz when you read of others OC'ing.
My dad says performance comes at a cost.

I got my first job at 15/16, working for neighbours landscape gardening company.

£4 an hour and long days, lots of money quickly and it went even quicker on PC parts :icon_quag:

Still work their in holidays and that's where most of my income is from :icon_thumbsup:

I'm also 15 right now, and built my computer in early april (after my birthday) with around £40 b-day money, and £5 an hour from a building/renovation job nearby.
Still work their in holidays and that's where most of my income is from Same here.

P.S. I went over-budget by spending close on £200 instead of the optimistic £110 originally forecasted.

I have no impulse control and just blew €1300 on a Canon EOS 400D camera and a professional grade Sigma lens for it :|

I just *know* I'm going to need the money for something else...

Yeah it's a good camera but it's let down by the crappy stock lens that ships with it hence I'm buying just the body and getting the lens seperate.

It's not a perfect lens but the Sigma is better than the Cannon kit one although you seem to get chromatic abboration near 18mm but you can fix that digitally.

Probably get a 35mm f1.8 or 50mm f1.8 prime lens next! :D

Yeah, and how, but the 7600GS I was looking at was no ordinary 7600GS, It was made by Palit, and came OC'ed out of the box.
Also the 7600GS was reviewed by THG as the best card in its category...
sad thing is, I couldn't afford it because of last minute decision on a different mobo.
See here: (http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/355/3/)
for a review of how it does in hl2.

I'm thinking about either getting a Geforce 7950GT or the Geforce 8800.

Is your PSU upto it? And you might need a new case for the 8800, it's much longer than other cards.

I think it should be up to it and i can remove this ethernet port as i don't use it.

I mean larger as in it will go further inside your case, not a larger slot on the back.
