Guys mod looks great and its cool to see so many names I recognise. Can I just ask how the COF is going to work? :) Are the guns designed to work (with eqivalent damage too) like DOD: S?

Waldo I have never been able to find the answer to this.,.. how come you are no longer with DOD?

I may be speaking out of turn here, but the weapons use a distance-based damage calculation. A SMG round fired five feet from your target will do much more damage than the same bullet fired at an enemy half the map away.
The SMGs lose the most power over range, followed by the Support classes (BREN/MG34) and finally the rifles, which I believe suffer almost no degradation.

There's no cone of fire, if I remember rightly - shot distribution is solely down to DoD-style weapon recoil. Combine this with distance-based damage and you have weapons which always shoot straight, providing the player's skilled enough to control them (and recognises the fact that damage fades over time).

God that sounds good! My biggest dissapointment and the reason I just cant stomach playing source is the weapons :( They just frustrate me immensely.
I would have loved something like this it sounds like an excellent idea to me. Cant wait to try it!

One error DP made is there is a cone of fire, but it is small compared to DoD:S and has centre-weighted bias, unlike DoD:S which is completely random.

Well I still like it LOL at least it gives YOU control over things and doesnt give you a hosepipe sprinklers chance of hitting something

No COF! This sounds superb. When's it out? (yes, I've completely failed to read anything anywhere else on this site, I shall go explore now)
