First off, the mod is looking great - about time we (the commonwealth) get some recognition.

I would like to mention though, that Operation Deadstick was an extensive 3-day training operation is April 1944 in preperation for Operation Overlord, and the mission to capture the Pegasus and Horsa bridges on June 5th/6th was Operation Tonga, conducted by the Ox and Bucks airborne regiments.

Just figured I'd point that out, sorry if you knew this already, or if I have made an arse of myself and miss-read the FAQ.

Source? Because in the ten plus years I've been researching the history of the Glider Pilot Regiment I've never heard to it referred to as anything other than Deadstick.

All of the published histories I have quote the exercises as being in preperation for the upcoming Operation Deadstick, not the exercises themselves being called that.

Operation Overlord was the overall invasion plan, Operation Neptune the assault operation and Operation Tonga was the collective name for actions to be carried out by the 6th Airborne Division. Under the scope of Tonga was Operation Deadstick, the Coupe de Main assault on the two bridges. Operation Mallard was the follow up operation to re-supply and re-enforce via airdrops and landings in the evening of June 6th.
