Please guys, go one up on this one i know you can. Don't try to be "as" good as other mods, try to be better. Better more powerfull melee animations - powerfull meaning it actually feels like the swing could do damage - more intense sprites - muzzle flashes, explosions, smoke, relevant to wwii of course, and gun shot sounds that really mean it.
I also thought that a BF2 style quick radio menu is a great idea, something not used in many if any HL/HL2 mods, if you can implement that, you will get a lot of respect.
As good as it is, the simple fact this is the first commonwealth based wwii mod won't back the gameplay forever.
Look guys, just if your working on something that is used in other mods, try to make it as original as you can, and if its a new thing your going for, ask yourself, is it cool, is this something people are going to go "damn, this is awesome!" to, and then tell all their mates about this new game where you can do "this and this and this" and you should be sweet.
Good luck fellas,

The commonwealth aspect of it isnt the only thing, its not just DoD with Commonwealth, its a whole new style of gameplay with Commonwealth troops as an added bonus.

this realy reminds me... can ham and jam REALY work on its animations, particuarly the melee animations? in all the games i have played cept red orchestra the melee animations are horrible. im a second dan(adult blackbelt) in tae kwon do and i have studied and smithed hand to hand weapons since i was 12. from my VAST experience in the manner the basic butsmack is a pathetic attack and isnt realy effective. the best two are the red orchestra but strike(its a foreward thrust with the but, its kinda odd) and just plain jamming the barrel of your weapon into the enemy, bayonet or no bayonet, that or you switch your hands around holding the end of the barrel and swing your gun like a baseball bat.

also knife attack animations are allways horrid, they looks slow and are done almost allways completely wrong. i know i know soldiers werent martial artists in the traditional sense but they trained extensively escpecially in ww1 and 2 in hand to hand technique. mainly bayonet combat but still....
