Hey guys,

I have one serious request ... Please make the Wehrmacht Uniforms look realistic, especcially the colour and not like the hollywood-like grey uniforms in DoD:S. For example look at RO, they got it very well. Also, this skin (http://www.dayofdefeat.net/forums/showthread.php?s=4a3868ae5645ce21e6170802c800dfaf&threadid=63820) has gotten it right(except the tri-colour/eagle shouldn't be on every helmet).

Greetings

The new German Wehrmacht model will be the correct colour.

it's possible to have different skins for different maps right?

like how paratroopers were on some maps, and regular infantry on the other.

(sorry, I haven't been into mapping that long)

i dont understand your question fully. are you trying to ask is it possible for the source engine to have different skns per map or if ham and jam will have different skins per map?

Anywho it is possible in the source engine and all it would require is a new skin and some coding :)

yeah, you answered my question.

I've never skinned, but a lot of people come out with their own.

Yeah to expand on the topic, it's been my goal from the start to configure the player models in a way that we can change uniforms, kit, etc. as easily as possible. Most likely each player model with have a "base" with its own skin which we can swap between plus various kit loadouts.

Certainly for the early alpha versions we'll just have a generic Germand and British model/skin but as we expand the mod we'll add more uniforms and skins into the framework.

ive heard alot about the brits for ham and jam. any plans for the french(or the free french post anexation) in the mod. it sounds like alot to add 3 teams to the first couple of releases so it is completely understandable if they are put off for a while.

I found this page on the day of defeat forums, although I'm sure a lot of you have probably already seen it.

Ya, there is no "one" color for German uniforms. The DoD:S color is just as correct as the RO ones. It's totally dependant on when the uniform was made, where it was made, and what article of clothing it is.
