i found this bit of information in the faq interesting...

The American Army features in no part of this mod, this is purely about the British, Commonwealth and Free Forces aspect of the war. This allows us to create maps from 1939 right up to 1945, in multiple theatres such as North Africa, Western Europe, Scandinavia and the Far East.

does the vision of ham and jam in the future also include the war in china? technically that started in 37 but still. does this mean that once you get most of the european things done you guys will actually include china and tell gamers for once that china was involved in the war?

im pretty pumped about that. i personally have been trying to push an idea about a war game set in china starting in 37, but it hasnt gained ANY ground. ham and jam with japan and china duking it out wouldnt exactly be my vision but it would be the next best thing. i just wanted to get things cleared up about that to know if it is planned or even hoped for in the future to include the far east in the mod. you guys allready got alot on your plate and it is understandable if you dont wish to include it but still it would be incredible if you guys pull it off.

Interesting post but I admit that China wasn't on our original idea's list for Ham and Jam. Not that we have anything against China, it's just that as you say, it's pre 1939 and is difficult to place in the Commonwealth/Free forces scope. It was also a fairly localised war.

I wont say no, we wont add it, but it's highly unlikely.

one thing i think is that its good that ham and jam is starting in 39. back in 37 there were 3 million men in the chinese army, 1 million rifles and about 2 million pikes for them. not a very powerfull sounding army. by 39 the chinese army with the help of many nations across the world had upped its army to a higher level in terms of equipment. the formations still lacked the skill of the japanese though... remember although the fight with china started 2 years before the rest of the war it still went on to the very end of the war.
