Well if someone wants to give me money for a licence for another forum....like vBulletin. Otherwise we stick with whats free and keep on top of the updates.
My internet is so shit, its barely running at all, takes like 5 refreshes to load a page at 14.4k speed.

Indeed, I don't want to pay $80 a year for vB or IPB.

yup. maybe another color scheme is in order though. one is too dark, the other is too...umm...default. not that the dark one is hard to read or anything, just hard on my eyes sometimes

Yes a new template is in sort. New buttons and stuff :) i still think we should keep the dev forums at the old location tho |:
Ginger Lord
16th March 2006, 06:55 PM
Yeah, I only grabbed the first semi decent template off the net and stuck a logo on it.
These forums will be staying around, if they get hacked they get hacked. The old forums are locked and I guess I can not post the download URL here and just refer people to the old forums. Eventually we want to get everyone on the SVN server so you can all update it in realtime and commit your own content.

oh hah that reminds me, i made a whole bunch of WW2 smiley guys a little while ago. they have the american helmets, don't know if you still want to use them but i figure they'd be better than the default. as soon as i'm back at my machine in NY (this sunday) i'll post them somewhere

b0b
19th March 2006, 01:16 AM
ok. i'll stick mine here some time tomorrow and you can put up the SAS ones whenever you'd like. i'm wondering if the thompson gunner one i made is around, people say it found its way to a lot of forums

So where is the good forum discussion area?
b0b
19th March 2006, 03:06 AM
that's a good question. maybe there should be a general off topic section too? or is that general discussion (this one)?
Jed
19th March 2006, 01:04 PM
When the forums go public, General discussion will be just for HaJ related stuff. I really don't want an "anything goes" forum like TMH.
However as team members we have our own off-topic section in the sqaud HQ.

19th March 2006, 03:59 PM
ok. i found the off topic (almost) anything goes forums help tie together the community a lot better. i'd administrate them if you wanted too, i was handling the LGW forums for years with only two problems, both resulting in quick bans. if not that's fine too, just thought it'd be a nice addition

I meant HQ actually. I didn't see it but now I do.
Off-topic is good IMO. It does help tie people together.

FF. It might have been a very specific bug w/ the boards. Maybe having to do with the fact that I just registered/logged in for the first time. Or maybe my comp is whack -- I just BSODed last night so I wouldn't be surprised. :x

It might have been because I've been messing with the forums installing a mod and then fixing it when it didn't work!

Is it TOoo00oo large...?
Your signature image can be NO LARGER THAN 50 KILOBYTES. The dimensions can be NO LARGER THAN 450x150 PIXELS. Do not tempt us by going just slightly over.
Ginger Lord
8th April 2006, 12:55 PM
Chop 150 pixels off the middle of it and it will be fine.
