Two new features i've seen added to more resent WWII games, is the climbing of COD2, and the resting of your weapon for better aiming in RO. I think these are great features, and really add to the gameplay and immerse factor.
I'd like to see these features become standard in FPS, and was wondering if anyone else agrees, and if the team would/have given it any thought.

I'm all for realism, my favourite game right now, though not the most realistic, is True Combat: Elite.
You'll love this website: http://dslyecxi.com/index.html I have never found such a good website on tactical gaming in my life.
But I don't think the dev.s are trying to achieve total realism in much beyond uniforms, maps, and all the details that commercial studios usually get wrong.

Climbing we have considered as a replacement for jumping but there are some technical issues to overcome in implementing it.
Resting weapons is too much. The mission of HaJ is to be historically accurate without being a realism game.

I thinking having both jumping and climbing over walls would be a good feature, although I don't know how you would do it like say double clicking the jump button to get over the wall or something like that.

I would rather have a mantling, hurdle, or climb rather than the infamously silly and oft misused jump.

Thats what we're aiming for.
